Last Saturday, our office closed for a very special reason. The entire team came together to actively participate in the Food Drive, volunteering at the Jodofi supermarket in Begur.
What is the Food Drive?
The Food Drive is an annual initiative organized by Food Banks across Catalonia. Its main goal is to collect essential food items to support individuals and families in vulnerable situations. This collective effort ensures that many people have access to adequate nutrition, thanks to the generosity of the community and the dedication of countless volunteers.
The food collected during the Food Drive in Begur is sent to the Palafrugell Food Bank, which distributes it to those most in need, including residents of our own town. This local connection makes the impact of the campaign tangible and deeply meaningful for everyone involved.
Our Experience
On Saturday, our team worked tirelessly at the Jodofi supermarket, encouraging shoppers to contribute, organizing donations, and sorting the collected food. It was a busy day, but it was incredibly rewarding to see how every contribution, no matter how small, could make a significant difference in someone’s life.
We witnessed firsthand the generosity and solidarity of so many people. Every bag of pasta, bottle of oil, and tin of preserves symbolized hope and support for families in need.
